As part of a freelance project I did for Konica Minolta’s Medical Imaging division, I was asked to create a logo for their new online learning system, KM University. This turned out to be the fastest any logo design I’ve created has gone from initial request to being approved and used. I received the request on the afternoon of Monday, November 14th, created three concepts for the client by the next morning, with the client choosing the final design and having the logo used in the website the next afternoon.

This first image is the final design on the same background as it’s used on in the website.

Just below are the three concepts I originally submitted. As you can see I used the typeface from the Konica Minolta logo (at bottom), for brand consistency. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the font that logo typeface is derived from, so I had to create several of the letters from scratch.
